Launched during Earth Month 2024, The KraveBeauty Chronicle was the brand’s very first print publication and a behind-the-scenes window into our efforts to be the world’s most sustainable beauty brand.

The Problem We Were Trying to Solve

While we live in a world where sustainable business practices are finally getting the attention they deserve, the topic can still often feel dense and un-relatable to consumers. No matter a brand’s intentions or genuine efforts to make a positive impact on the planet, the topic of sustainability can often feel dry, un-inspiring, and devoid of personality.

Our Solution

As our very-first print publication to be included in all orders (and on recycled paper, of course!), we set out to create a periodical that was capable of contextualizing the issues we face and the steps our brand was taking to push the industry forward.

Featuring interviews with our Founder and Product Development team to help contextualize the work we’ve done so far across areas such as freight shipping vs. air and all-new packaging innovations, a profile with one of our suppliers focused on upcycled ingredients, and showing what members of our team have done to be more sustainable in their own lives, this issue provided an all-new brand touchpoint for our consumers to learn about sustainability in an engaging and educational way.

And yes - we even included a crossword.

My Role

From outlining the exact stories we wanted to tell, collaborating with both internal and external Creative teams to take the newspaper from initial idea to printed work, to project managing the entire process from start to finish, The KraveBeauty Chronicle was a resounding success with our customers and a testament to the brand’s commitments to both sustainability and to creative storytelling.
